Similes

Similes is a comparison of two things using "like" or "as...as".

"Like" is a doing word and "as...as" is a  describing word.

 An example for "like" similes is, "she ran like the wind."

An example for "as...as" similes is, "she is as cold as ice."

Similes help people write about describing.

    Great DLO your group has made. I found your descriptions of the photos really interesting. What did you find diffucult about forming a simile and why?

      What I think is hard about similes is compering them. What is your Favorite thing about similes?
