Touch Rugby

We continued on playing touch rugby and practiced catching and passing drill to get warmed up.

First we practiced passing and catching. We did this to improve catching and passing when playing the touch rugby.

After we finished we got into groups and payed touch. We used three man settles and two man settles using the skills we learnt at the beginning.

I really enjoyed playing touch rugby and improved playing touch rugby.

Touch Rugby

We carried on with three man settles and two man settles and played touch rugby from the previous week.

First we practiced two and three man settles to get ready for a game of touch.  Couch Mark told us to aim for one person when we drive the ball town the field.

Next we played a game of touch. The game was for learning how to play and how to use a two and three man settle.

I did well at two man settles and three man settles, and I had an amazing time playing touch rugby.

Touch Rugby | Kiwi Sport

This week for kiwi sport we played touch, doing the 2 man settle and the 3 man settle.

We had 2 groups which one team was a defender and the second team were attackers, first we did the 2 man settle then the 3 man settle.

To do the 2 man settle you plant the ball then go over the ball so that their partner can pick it up and pass it to the person that planted the ball.

To do a 3 man settle there is 3 people and someone plants the ball and the other person picks it up and passes it to the third person.

Today we learned some basic skills for touch rugby.

First we learn how to tap the ball, catching, and passing the ball.

Afterwards we played passing drills to get better at committing to the ball and catching.

I enjoyed today's lesson because I got to learn more about touch rugby.

Swimming l Week 2

This Thursday I went to the pools to swim. My couch was Kelly.

The first skill I practiced was how to float on our back while keeping my face up at the roof.

Then I practiced gliding to do that I made a big push and with my face in the water and with my hands above my head with a straight body.

Lastly I practiced how to rotate from my back to my front with my face in the water while I continued kicking. At the end she thought us how to do arm strokes.

I got better at floating and gliding but I need to improve on my arm strokes`.

L.I. to develop knowledge of water safety.

Swimming

This week for swimming My teacher was Kelly she was helping us on how to swim on our backs.
We did this with noddles then without the noddles. We also learnt on how to swim on our front.
After that we learnt how to swim from our front to our back.

Then we went to the railings that where at the side of the pool and held o to it and put our feet on the wall then we pushed our feet to float on our back.

At the end we played a little game called toilet tag. To play the game someone has to be in then the others swim away from the tagger and if you get tag'ed you turn into a toilet and to get free someone has to flush you.
