Complex Sentences
L.I. To write meaningful and interesting complex sentences
Today I made complex sentences with a google slide. Complex sentences are AAAWWUBBIS after, although, as, While, When, until, before, because, if, and since. Example while he was holding the hat, the boy was looking at his camera. We also used pictures to give us ideas on what to write.

Idiom: Piece of Cake
L.I. Making videos of idioms.
I made a video with Ariana and Akifa. Our idiom is a piece of cake. Piece of cake means when you do something that is easy. An idiom is a phrase that means something different to a word.
3D Shapes
LI - To Create a room with 3D shapes
Today for maths I drew 3D shapes. The shapes I used was a square, two triangles, cylinder, I made the lines light so when I rub it out it can come out easily. First we had a practice paper were we practice on one side of the paper and the other side is where we plan out what our 3D art would look like on a A3 piece of paper. I also put in a floor to make it look like it was in a empty room of shapes.

Originally there were no people in New Zealand. The first people to settle in New Zealand came in a series of waka.
The first ten waka were named Kurahaupo, Takitimu, Mataat, Tainui, Te Arawa, Aotea, Tokomaru, Horouta, Uruao, Arai-te-uru.
Most of the waka visited the North Island. Some of the places the waka landed at were Tamaki Rive, Te Waewae bay, Kaipara harbour.
The ten waka came to New Zealand to discover new lands for people to live.

Kupe and Cook are 2 important explores in New Zealand's history
Captain Cook was known as the history greatest explore. Cook was the Cook came to NZ in October, 7 1769. He came because he wanted to prove that a great southern continent did not exist in the Pacific.
He sailed with his boat to NZ and mapped it. Cook also went Hawaii at but got killed there in February, 14 of 1779.
Cook is important because he mapped NZ and opened it up to the word to access.

Explorers and Adventurers
Explorers are people who travel to find new things and record them for the community Such as Captain James cook, Sylvia Earle, Jean Batten.
Adventurers are people who travel to take part in something for themselves such as Moana, Kupe, William Adams.
Explorers and Adventurers need to have or show many different attitudes and attributes such as co-operative because helping others when they need help.
Both ex and ad travel to new places and need similar qualities although their goals are different.
